This policy covers elfaruq.com, the associated ELFARUQ app (com.alfarooq) when released, and actually activated account/community services. ELFARUQ is the project name; the developer’s legal identification must be completed in Google Play before launch.

This public website has no account creation, messaging, third-party ad tags or integrated analytics. Language preference and tasbih count stay in browser local storage. If you authorize location for Qibla, your browser processes coordinates locally; this site does not transmit them to our server. Cloudflare may process connection and security logs including IP addresses as part of website delivery.

When app sign-in is activated, a phone number may be used with an OTP provider. The backend is designed to retain a protected keyed hash and last four digits rather than the raw number in account tables. Account identifiers, mosque membership, notification tokens and community/marriage data may be processed only for chosen features. Never email passwords or OTP codes.

Precise location permission is requested only when a relevant feature is used, not for background tracking. Qibla is calculated locally. Nearby-mosque lookup is designed to send rounded coordinates to the ELFARUQ gateway while exact distance is calculated on-device. Worship records such as tasbih, prayer and fasting tracking are intended to remain on-device and are not used for ad targeting.

Marriage is adults-only. The app design screens messages before delivery and limits moderator access to reported content for safety with audit logs. If identity verification is enabled, a specialist provider processes identity/selfie images; the ELFARUQ database is not designed to store original images. The actual provider and its practices must be disclosed before launch.

When Ask ELFARUQ is activated and separate consent is given, questions and necessary source excerpts may pass through our server to an AI provider. Responses are machine-generated research summaries, not fatwas. Quran content, recitation, translations and maps may involve reviewed external providers and ordinary network metadata. Religious questions are not used for ad targeting.

Permitted marriage chat messages are designed to be removed after 365 days in a cleanup cycle unless needed for an open safety report. Necessary security records may be retained for a limited justified period and de-identified where feasible. We do not state unverified fixed periods for all other data before production review. Account deletion removes associated data except narrowly justified legal/security retention; start at Account deletion.

Children’s features are separated from social/account/marriage services. Minors cannot use marriage. This website does not run ads or payments. Future app advertising or purchases require age, consent, SDK and store-policy verification and corresponding updates to this policy and Play Data Safety disclosures.

You can clear browser storage, decline location, and request access, correction or deletion of app-account data when those services are activated. Contact support@elfaruq.com. This address must be configured with working delivery before relying on it. See Local storage and Deletion.
